Haigh Rail Awarded Track Framework

Haigh Rail Limited is pleased to announce the award of a four-year framework to provide a variety of track works on behalf of client Midland Metro Ltd (MML), who has full responsibility for operating and maintaining the West Midlands Metro tram network.

As part of this contract, Haigh Rail Limited will act as the Principal Contractor, and in the majority of projects also act as Principal Designer for a range of track work types; including gauge restoration, rail replacement, ballasted rail works, tram stop rail replacement and embedded rail works.

Delivery of this contract will require flexible planning to ensure safety critical works are delivered to meet the authorities’ requirements.

The framework will be led by Director Keiran Clarke and Project Manager Matthew Bowyer-Hill. Additionally, Engineering Director Dan Foster will support with track know-how from his vastly experienced engineering, supervisory and delivery teams. All of these personnel were instrumental in the success of this award.

Furthermore, Haigh Rail Limited will utilise Professional Head of Welding Mick Downing and his Welding Division to support welding activities as required.
